ToDoGenius (ToDo List / Task Manager) app good for
Beautiful interface, so simple with powerful execution. Version 2.0 does what it says. To the critics, what has grammar and spellings got to with productivity?
...although Im not sure it is worth $7. A bit confusing at first, but its a good app for organizing your day to day tasks.
I like this apps. Theres more to it than in similar todo list apps.
First good thing about this apps, It s sync with my calendar. secondly, when I enter a new task, its give proposition related to my old task which accelerates the process. Thirdly, the genius seems like a good idea (although it may need some works)
Bad point: it doesnt support landscape view for typing task, but maybe it will come in an update. :)
I was a little apprehensive when I first saw this app. I have tried many other "schedulers" and found they were lacking. I have a very busy life between work, family, volunteer duties and social groups and need a solid app that will beat the stability and simplicity of my paper year scheduler. This app delivers!
The interface is very easy to understand and navigate. There is no bulky write ups or descriptions, its a simple starting choise of work or life. Then you either add an event, view your list or allow the AI to help you out.
When adding an event, the various categories make it so easy to properly distinguish between types of tasks. There is just about every option on the list, beside "look for a new scheduler program"...oh wait, they have that covered under the "computer", "get" and other category. Ok this app has it all.
Once you have added a few events for life nad work, turn on the AI and let the fun begin. This app will make suggestions for tasks to complete based on your location or the amount of time you have. The AI is programmed so efficiently, I am starting to wonder if Ill be able to survive without this. Its like a personal secretary. Once you complete a task, jsut check it off and its moved to your complete list for deletion, reuse or archiving.
My only complaint about this app is if you accidently complete a tast that isnt complete, you cant "undo" the completion. You can "reuse" the task, just by setting the complete date again. Other then that, great program for $1.99 (or $6.99 after the preview period).
I highly recommend this program to any business exec, self employeed person, student, or anyone who has more than one thing to think about at once. If you need an organized life, this app is your "gift from God"!
Great app does what need done to separate all the things one has to do during a day.
I was looking for a todo list that would integrate seamlessly with my daily home-work-family routine. I struggled to have an app that can integrate with iCal , google , iPhone calendar etc without me doing some crazy syncing. Im so relived now. This app meets all my requirements. I would highly recommend this app.
Some bad moments
Interesting concept, but less than perfect execution.
Doesnt seem to be a way to delete a task. Spelling errors (its Leisure, not Leasure).
Not quite ready for primetime, but a good attempt.
Not worth 7.99 until its a bit more polished.
Confusing, limited interface. Very rigid and limited environment which lacks ability to customize even simple concepts like categories. Obvious spelling mistakes. Genius AI constantly makes stupid suggestions despite tuning. Difficult to do even the simplest of tasks. Cannot edit contact info after a task is created. Cumbersome method of tuning AI settings for tasks, which forces you to wade through an unsorted list of your tasks to find the one you need. Can only filter tasks by predefined categories. Defining your "mood" or "activity level" is vague and arbitrary. I could go on and on... Its just a mess. Too expensive for what it does. I wish I could get my money back. Stick with Omnifocus.
How is it I cant include notes about my task?? This seems to be an important yet basic feature that has been overlooked. I bought this app based on the description and screen captures, which made the process look so easy... and it is, but it is also inflexible. If I choose the "shop" icon and write on the title, I also expect to be able to type the quick-list of items in a note section associated with that task. Although there is room on the screen, the access to that space is disabled. This means I need to record my errands list in another app, which is counter-productive (isnt this a productivity app?). I explored the app and went back to the description and screen captures, but there is no evidence of task notes available, which to me is a no-brainer for any GTD app. Add that feature and Id rate this app closer to four stars.
People have all ready said what fixes there need to be. I would love to have a reason to come back and give Five Stars! It has the potential to be a very nice app.
I bought this at $8 long time ago. Keep wanting to like this app, but it is not usable to me. It just cannot make the right suggestion for my to-do items! I have 8 items in the to-do and not assigned to specific dates, but despite trying different "circumstances", only one of the to-do items appears. Whatever happens to the other items?
Great interface but If I have a meeting from 3 to 5pm for example I need to be able to key that in....instead it displays it as "all day meeting" - Theres nothing genius about that? I would like a refund please!
